TCPA, DNC, and misuse disclaimers

1. Platform Disclaimer

SladeIQ is a data-collection tool that extracts publicly available business contact information from directory websites. SladeIQ does not sell, license, or guarantee the accuracy of scraped data, and takes no responsibility for how users choose to use any data collected through the platform.

2. No Responsibility for Misuse

You — not SladeIQ — are solely responsible for every communication you send using data obtained through this platform. SladeIQ provides technology, not authorization to contact anyone. Accessing a phone number or email address through SladeIQ does not constitute consent from that individual to be contacted.

3. TCPA Compliance

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) restricts unsolicited calls and text messages, particularly those made using automated dialing equipment or pre-recorded messages. Before calling or texting any contact, you must:

TCPA violations can result in statutory damages of $500–$1,500 per violation. SladeIQ assumes zero liability for your TCPA compliance.

4. National Do Not Call (DNC) Registry

Before initiating any telemarketing calls to residential or wireless numbers, you must scrub your list against the Federal Trade Commission's National Do Not Call Registry. Calling a registered number without a valid exemption (such as an established business relationship) can result in fines of up to $51,744 per violation. Registering for DNC access and performing regular list scrubs is your obligation — not SladeIQ's.

5. CAN-SPAM Act (Email)

If you use contact data for email marketing, the CAN-SPAM Act requires that you:

6. State Laws

Many states have enacted additional consumer protection laws that impose stricter requirements than federal law — including California (CCPA/CPRA), Florida (FTSA), Washington, and others. You are responsible for understanding and complying with every law that applies to your specific outreach campaigns and the states where your contacts reside.

7. User Obligations

By using SladeIQ you agree to:

8. Limitation of Liability

SladeIQ is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, SladeIQ and its operators disclaim all warranties and shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or any data obtained through it — including fines, penalties, or legal fees resulting from your outreach activities.
